Location: London South Bank University<br />
Reports to: Professor Rao Bhamidimarri, Dean of Engineering, Science and<br />
the Built Environment, LSBU<br />
Specific Responsibilities<br />
Develop the strategy and identity for the institute;<br />
Be a passionate advocate and champion for engineering and<br />
enterprise;<br />
Engage in business development activities and networking<br />
with partners in industry, government, professional bodies<br />
and learned societies, both within the UK and overseas;<br />
Work with others to develop and implementation a range of<br />
programmes and activities in line with the institute’s mission;<br />
Manage a small team effectively, and in such a way as to<br />
inspire and encourage high quality in all the institute’s work;<br />
Ensure the financial viability of the institute – both through<br />
sound management of budgets and costs, and through<br />
income generation through its activities.<br />
