The management of the group of companies consisting
of UnaveraChemLab GmbH and Aaron Chemistry
GmbH disposes of a long lasting tradition in science of
chemistry.
Already Dr. Bruno v. Zychlinski, father of the current CEO
of UnaveraChemLab GmbH, worked during the nineteen-thirties
in the fields of chemical research and developed
on behalf of Wacker Chemie amongst others the
patent-registered polyvinyl chloride (=PVC) in 1935.
His company “Mittenwald Chemie”, founded in 1948,
manufactured pastes for ball pens and dyestuff for
writing instruments and expanded dynamically to a
worldwide leading company in that industry.
In 1982, his son Dr. Hasso v. Zychlinski as a motivated
chemist in synthesis took over the company Unavera-
ChemLab GmbH, in brief Unavera GmbH, which is
today also located in Mittenwald/Germany. Since that
time, Unavera is active as an independent producer of
organic fine chemicals.
Beside the standard program, being a variety of product
lines of chemical compounds, chemical synthesis as per
customer’s specification under secrecy agreement is the
most important line of business of the private company.
Furthermore, Unavera GmbH is executing development
orders for intermediates and drugs, which later on have
to get converted into commercial scale. Another focus is
the specialization in multistep reactions for complex
molecules.
Additionally, chiral syntheses are carried out by
means of enzymatic reactions in close and strictly
confidential cooperation with the specialist X-Zyme
GmbH, Düsseldorf/Germany, (see page 264). Regular
customers of Unavera GmbH are companies doing
own research or being producers of pharmaceuticals
and pesticides.
The reactors of the company are designed and equipped
for syntheses in volumes of kilograms up to multi tons
as indicated in the product listing on page 12. In case
of even larger quantities, such demands will be produced
in close cooperation with partners having larger
production capacity. Necessary and exclusively for specific
customers developed procedures can be serially applied
and are protected by contracts. This guarantees
furthermore that the compounds will be reproduced in
same purity and identity as before.
For syntheses Unavera GmbH disposes of a cascade of
enamel reactors being equipped as multi purpose plant
as well as stainless steel and glass reactors for volumes
of 20 up to 1000 liters. The temperature range covers
+10 degree Celsius up to +180 degree Celsius,
whereas the stainless steel reactors can be operated in a
range of -40 degree Celsius up to +220 degree Celsius
and with pressure down to 9 bar.
Separation of solids is effected by vacuum nutsches, pressure
filters or a hastelloy peeler centrifuge. Various dryer
working under normal pressure or vacuum as well as
refining and sieving machines are used for treatment of
solids. All the plants and machines can optionally be
rendered inert according to the specific requirement with
nitrogen or argon. Electrical explosion prevention is
applied. Environment protection
has a very high priority:
with general use of air
purification, gas washer
and strict waste water conditioning
as well as consistent
waste management
with appropriate and controlled
removal is taken care
for a clean environment.
Quality and customer satisfaction
are the highest values
of the management
according to standard ISO
9001:2000, controlled by
official German inspection
authority TÜV-Süd.
Quality control is supervised
by the independent analytical
department, whereas
the total workflow of receipt
of goods, production and analysis is controlled by the
head of analytical department.
The laboratories are prepared for development and quality
control in view to all the analytical procedures required
like HPLC, GC, FTIR, HPLCMS and NMR. Melting
point and moisture determination as well as potentiometric
titration complete the range of control services.
These are the fundamentals for the production of APIs
according to cGMP guidelines.
All the chemical compounds, assorted according to the
product line index (see page 12), are listed in this
catalogue on page 14 ff. and can be delivered within
short notice subject to the requested quantity. Numerous
further derivates and homologous compounds can be
offered on specific inquiries.
The relationship to our customers has been established
