APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION: GENERAL INFORMATION AND INSTRUCTIONS
This form must be completed, in block letters and in full, by new students only. An incomplete application form will not be processed and will be returned to the
applicant.
The non-refundable application fee must accompany the application form or the application will not be processed.
Applicants for all instructional programmes (courses) are subject to academic selection.
Only one form per applicant must be submitted and it must indicate the first choice of study.
Please submit this completed application form, as well as the account application form to one of the given addresses on the first page.
Admission requirements are a National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification and subject requirements as per instructional programme. A
candidate may apply with his/her Grade 12 June or subsequent examination marks.
Certified copies of the following documents must be submitted together with your application:
• Identification document.
• Your academic record in respect of studies at another higher educational institution, if applicable.
• A certificate of conduct if you are/were enrolled at another higher educational institution and have not obtained a diploma/degree there.
• Undergraduate applicants: National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification for final registration. If still in Grade 12, see admission
requirements above.
• Post-graduate applicants: You must also submit official proof that you have complied with all the requirements for a diploma/degree.
The Central University of Technology, Free State (CUT) must be notified immediately of any change of address.
The student number allocated to you must be mentioned in all correspondence.
Should you decide not to continue your studies after submission of the application, or to change your instructional programme, the Department: Student
Administration must be notified immediately in writing.
The CUT reserves the right to refuse any application without furnishing reasons; but a student has the right to appeal against his/her unsuccessful application.
PHYSICAL FACILITIES AND DISABLED STUDENTS
The CUT maintains a policy of non-discrimination towards the disabled. Disabled prospective students must satisfy themselves as to the available physical facilities
at the CUT before applying for admission. If disabled students are admitted, the specific deviation from the normal examination procedures (depending on the
specific case) will be endorsed on the statement of results.
AANSOEK OM TOELATING: ALGEMENE INLIGTING EN INSTRUKSIES
Die vorm moet volledig voltooi en in blokletters ingevul word en is slegs vir nuweling studente. ‘n Onvolledige aansoekvorm sal nie verwerk word nie, en sal aan die
aansoeker teruggehandig en/of terugversend word.
Die aansoekfooi is nie terugbetaalbaar nie en moet u aansoekvorm vergesel, andersins word u aansoek nie verwerk nie.
Applikante vir alle onderrigprogramme (kursusse) is onderworpe aan akademiese keuring.
Slegs een aansoekvorm, wat die voorkeur-studierigting aandui, moet ingedien word.
Hierdie voltooide aansoekvorm, sowel as die rekening aansoekvorm, moet asseblief by een van die voorgemelde adresse op die eerste bladsy, ingelewer word.
Toelatingsvereistes is ‘n Nasionale Senior Sertifikaat (Graad 12) of ekwivalente kwalifikasie, sowel as vakvereistes soos per onderrigprogram. ‘n Kandidaat mag
aansoek doen met sy/haar Graad 12 Junie- of daaropvolgende eksamenpunte.
Gesertifiseerde afskrifte van die volgende dokumente moet u aansoek vergesel:
• Identitieitsdokument
• U akademiese rekord ten opsigte van studie by ‘n ander hoëronderwysinstelling (indien van toepassing).
• ‘n Gedragsertifikaat indien u by ‘n ander hoëronderwysinstelling ingeskryf is/was en nie ‘n diploma/graad verwerf het nie.
• Voorgraadse aansoekers: Nasionale Senior Sertifikaat (Graad 12) of ekwivalente kwalifikasie voor finale inskrywing. Indien u in Graad 12 is, sien
toelatingsvereistes hierbo.
• Nagraadse aansoekers: U moet ‘n amptelike bewys indien dat daar aan al die vereistes vir ‘n diploma/graad voldoen is.
Die Sentrale Universiteit vir Tegnologie, Vrystaat (SUT) moet onverwyld van enige adresverandering verwittig word.
Die studentenommer aan u toegeken moet in alle korrespondensie vermeld word.
Indien u na indiening van die aansoek sou besluit om nie met u voorgenome studie voort te gaan nie, of van onderrigprogram te verander, moet die Departement
Studente-administrasie sonder versuim skriftelik in kennis gestel word.
Die SUT behou die reg voor om enige aansoek te weier sonder vermelding van redes, maar ‘n student het die reg tot appèl teen sy/haar onsuksesvolle aansoek.
FISIESE GERIEWE EN GESTREMDE STUDENTE
Die SUT handhaaf ‘n beleid van nie-diskriminasie teenoor gestremdes. Gestremde voornemende studente moet hulleself egter vergewis van die beskikbare fisiese
geriewe by die SUT voordat hulle aansoek doen om toelating. Indien gestremde persone toegelaat word, sal die spesifieke afwyking van die normale
eksamineringsprosedures (afhangende van die geval) op die staat van uitslae geëndosseer word.
