EQUIPMENT SPECIFICATION<br />

INTRODUCTION<br />

The Burial Sled BS2 is designed to provide rapid, consistent cable protection<br />

in a wide range of soil conditions. It is designed to operate from the<br />

trencher monitoring system. The trench is max. 5.0m deep. The sled can be<br />

operated from any suitable vessel or barge.<br />

SPECIFICATION<br />

Trench depth: 0 - 2.0m, 3.0m and 5.0 m<br />

Design strength: sustained pull of 40 tonnes<br />

Cable/joint size: cable passage 200mm x 200mm<br />

Cable bending radius: 1.5m minimum in bellmouth and depressor<br />

Depth control: variable 0 – 5.0 m, remotely controlled<br />

from surface<br />

Weight (in air): app. 30 t<br />

Subsea pumps: 4 pumps each with 1200m3 /h @ 6bar,<br />

alternatively 2x2 pumps with<br />

1200m3 /h @12bar<br />
