DOUBLE-KNIT TECHNIQUE<br />

Class Description: Learn the technique of Double Knitting. This class is required before the<br />

Double Knit Hat or Winter Wonderland Gathering. This is a fabulous technique that can be used<br />

for all kinds of projects including the Dog Paws/or Rectangly Hat class we have featured this<br />

term. Use two colors of yarn and watch the magic happen!<br />

Materials: Worsted weight yarn in two colors (at least 50 yds. each), size 9 needles.<br />

Level: Intermediate<br />

DOUBLE-KNIT HAT: RECTANGLY OR DOG PAWS BY CATHERINE HUGHES<br />

Class Description: Have some fun while double knitting with this awesome hat! A stunner on<br />

Homework: Rectangly Hat: Cast on 88 stitches with your main color. Join round. Place marker.<br />

Round 1-knit into the front and back of each stitch to end up with 176 stitches. Dog Paw Hat:<br />

Cast on 96 stitches with your main color. Join round. Place marker. Round 1-knit into the front<br />

and back of each stitch to end up with 192 stitches.<br />

ENTRELAC HEADWARMER (QUANT) BY STAR ATHENA<br />

Class Description: Learn the technique of Entrelac with this lovely Headwarmer.<br />

You will be amazed at how much fun this is. . . and you’ll even learn to knit backwards!<br />

ENTRELAC SCARF<br />

Class Description: Entrelac looks like woven triangles and rectangles. Most people will say<br />

“How did you do that?!” Learn the technique or hone your skills with this scarf project!<br />

Materials: 5 skeins Noro Kureyon or Silk Garden; size 6 straight needles; pattern provided in<br />

class.<br />

Level: Intermediate<br />

FELTED CLOGS BY BEV GALESKAS<br />

Class Description: These warm, comfortable slippers are a must-knit! Make a pair for yourself<br />

first, because everyone will want them. This class is a great introduction to shaping for the<br />

advanced beginner, and an excellent refresher course for the returning knitter.<br />

Level: Advanced Beginner<br />

Materials: Cascade 220 yarn: 3 skeins, two of sole color and one of foot color.. A dark color<br />

(the two skeins) is recommended for the sole and trim, pattern, size 13 16” and 24” needles, one<br />

spare circular needle of smaller size.<br />
