Figure 20: Direct definition for light switch on We specify the default scenario and set the light switch to one. In this simple test we expect the headlights to be on. Please navigate back to the main window in the testlet browser. In order to make the automaton executable a transition condition for the transition between the state and the final junction must be specified. Double click on the transition and edit the formal transition condition. In this example the test terminates after five seconds.

See Section 2.3. 2.2.4 More complex test case: “lights on if dark” For the modelling of the test case with TPT it is necessary to first establish the steps the test case consists of: 1 Modelling of the behaviour of the light switch position: 1.1 At the beginning of the test case turn light switch to ”ON”, ... 1.2 ... then wait ... 1.3 ... until 10 seconds have passed, ... 1.4 ... then maintain switch position and ... 1.5 ... wait again 4 ... 1.6 ... until another 10 seconds have passed, ... 1.7 ... then end of test. 2 Modelling of the behaviour of the ambient light intensity: 2.1 From the beginning to the end of the test case – i.e. simultaneously to 1 – ”light intensity = dark” is simulated until the test case has reached step 1.7. The second part deals with the behaviour of the ambient light intensity. Both parts are independent, i.e. there is no direct relation of the light switch position to the ambient light intensity and vice versa. These two parts are thus described independently.
