Licence Application Form
Introduction
The RICS Home Surveys Copyright Licence scheme
includes a licence to deliver the RICS reports and
reproduce documentation as outlined in the individual
copyright licence agreements. It also gives you the
latest report documentation updated in line with current
legislation, as well as free access to the PDF Practice
Notes supporting each RICS Home Surveys report.

Applying for your RICS Home Surveys
Copyright Licence
Please use this form. On acceptance, your licence(s),
bearing your name and licence number, will be sent
to you.
Note: To join the copyright licence scheme you must complete all
details requested on this form. Failure to do so may result in your
application being rejected
Declaration of qualifications
I/we understand that to deliver the RICS HomeBuyer
Report I/we must be an AssocRICS, MRICS
or FRICS member of RICS and have had the
appropriate surveying and valuation training and
experience. Refer to the HBR Practice notes for more
information. www.rics.org/homesurveys
Note: The HBR requires a valuation so you must also be a
member of the RICS Valuer Registration Scheme and undertake
valuations in accordance with the RICS Valuation Standards
(The Red Book).

1. The first column shows the number of users (RICS members) you
are registering to deliver the RICS HomeBuyer Report (HBR) or
Condition Report (CR), the second column is a single licence rate
if you wish to deliver either the RICS HomeBuyer Report (HBR)
or RICS Condition Report (CR). The third column is a double
licence rate if you wish to deliver both the RICS HomeBuyer
Report (HBR) and RICS Condition Report (CR).
2. The licence year runs for twelve months from the Licensee’s
start date.
3. We will notify you annually with details of any revised fees, in
advance of your licence expiry date.
4. VAT at the current standard rate must be added to the figures
shown in the scale of charges.
5. Applicants from practices with 21 or more surveyors delivering
RICS HBRs or CRs should contact customer service for payment
details.
6. Should you leave the scheme and then re-apply to join within two
years of your withdrawal, RICS Sales and Marketing reserves the
right to apply an additional minimum charge of £50 to your first
payment.

are for use exclusively by members of RICS. Use by anybody else
would be a breach of copyright and is forbidden.
