BUSES<br />

The main city terminal is at Britomart Transport<br />

Centre. There are Auckland Transport Customer<br />

Service Centres inside the Britomart Transport<br />

Centre where you can get timetables and<br />

information about public transport.<br />

The City LINK bus runs a loop through Auckland CBD<br />

travelling via Queen Street and Wynyard Quarter.<br />

The Inner LINK bus travels in a loop around the<br />

city and stops at many tourist attractions including<br />

Ponsonby Road, Parnell and Newmarket.<br />

There are frequent bus services to the North Shore.<br />

There are late night bus services to Auckland’s<br />

suburbs from the city centre on Friday and Saturday<br />

nights.<br />

TRAINS<br />

The Britomart Transport Centre is the main<br />

rail terminal.<br />

Trains go to the South, East and West of<br />

Auckland until around 10pm, later on Friday<br />

and Saturday nights.<br />

FERRIES<br />

The Downtown Ferry Terminal is located on Quay<br />

Street, near the top of Lower Queen St and directly<br />

opposite Britomart Transport Centre.<br />

Ferries depart to a variety of destinations including:<br />

Bayswater, Northcote Point, Devonport, Birkenhead,<br />

Stanley Bay, Waiheke Island, Half Moon Bay, Gulf<br />

Harbour, Hobsonville, Beach Haven, Pine Harbour<br />

and West Harbour.<br />

Ferries also operate to Rangitoto, the bird sanctuary<br />

at Tiritiri Matangi and Great Barrier Island.<br />
