New Zealand has some of the world’s
best value duty free shopping in its
departure and arrival stores.
Before you get to the airport – pack
smart.
Security requirements for liquids,
aerosols and gels (LAGs):
The amount of liquids, aerosols and gels
you (and children) can have in carry-on
hand luggage is now limited on all flights
leaving New Zealand.
• Ensure any liquids, aerosols and gels
you will need during your flight are in
containers of 100ml or smaller.
• Pack these items comfortably in one
re-sealable 20cmx20cm (or smaller)
transparent bag.
• Put anything you don’t need for the
flight, or are unsure about,
in your check-in baggage.
• You can still buy duty free liquids on
departure from Auckland.
Ask in store for details.
For further details about security on
flights, including exemptions for baby
and medical items, see
Currency exchange:
Currency exchange is available at
Travelex every day of the year for all
flight arrivals and departures in both the
domestic and international terminals.
