STEIGER ® TBR 200
The state-of-the-art telescoping
boom system, featured for
the very first time on the
RUTHMANNSTEIGER ® TB 270,
has now been incorporated
into a new truck-mounted
aerial platform for vehicles ≥
3.5 t (GVW).
The STEIGER ® TBR 200 fulfils
long-awaited customer wishes
because through its movable
jib (RÜSSEL ® ) this innovative
new model offers increased
agility and manoeuvrability for
work at and behind objects. In
fact, the TBR 200 is the only
model in this aerial-platform
category which offers this kind
of versatility.
Despite its complex and
elaborate design, the TBR 200
features an amazing 15.7 m
outreach and 20.1 m working
height. Together with a 230
kg cage load capacity, this
STEIGER ® model brilliantly
fulfils the most important
technical parameters so that
daily tasks can be carried out
in the safest and most efficient
way possible.
The telescoping boom system
is made of fine-grained steel
and meticulously welded.
There is only a single seam
running along the centre of the
boom. The console under the
working cage is only 150mm
high.
Coupled with the 2 X 80° cage
rotation device these features
greatly enhance the practicality
of this new STEIGER ® model.
The turret, called “Truss Tower”,
comes with a completely new
and innovative “space-frame
design.” It is extremely light
weight yet solid, rigid yet warpresistant.
The working cage
can be entered and loaded/
unloaded using the convenient
door and access steps. For
maximum safety and efficiency
the hydrostatic cage levelling
device assures ultra-smooth
and easy cage adjustments.

The automatic set-up/
retraction mechanism,
information dia gnos tic system
and memory-positioning
system (for easy piloting to the
most recent operating position)
are all standard features on
the TBR 200. This particular
STEIGER ® model has a short
total length of just ≥ 6.75 m,
a width of just ≥ 2.1 m and a
height of ≥ 3 m.
There are a great variety of
vehicles from which to choose
from what offer plenty of load
capacity - including ones with
4-wheel drive - or short wheel
base. This feature makes it so
much easier to drive in dense,
inner-city traffic.
The TBR 200 also comes with
the time-tested horizontal/
vertical jacking mechanism.
Jacking is possible within the
contours of the vehicle, on one
side only or complete and on
inclinations of up to 5°.
