Aldermen Fleming <strong>of</strong> ward 1, Sullivan, Pratt, Harris, Farrell, Barker<br />

Andrews, Durgin, Cummin^s, Fleming <strong>of</strong> vsard 5, Robinson, Butler, Perry,<br />

Carman and the vice-president, Toomey, present.<br />

Reading <strong>of</strong> records commenced; further reading dispensed with under 8381<br />

a suspension <strong>of</strong> the rules and records approved "by yea and nay vote, Alder-<br />

men Fleming <strong>of</strong> ward 1, Sullivan, "Pratt, Harris, Parr ell, Barker, Andrews,<br />

Bur gin, Cummings, Fleming <strong>of</strong> ward 5, Robinson, Butler, Perry, Carman and<br />

the President-15, voting in the affirmative; Aldermen McCarthy, Codding,<br />

Hillson, Connell, French and the vice-president Toomey-6; being absent at<br />

this stage <strong>of</strong> the meeting.<br />

DRAVffKG OF SEATS.<br />

In the matter <strong>of</strong> drawing seats for the year, on motion <strong>of</strong> Alderman<br />

Robinson, it was voted that the vice-president be given his choice <strong>of</strong> seat.<br />

7he vice-president, Aldeman Toomey, accordingly selected seat #20. The<br />

board then proceeded with the drawing <strong>of</strong> seats. Alderman Andrews, assisted<br />

by Alderman Perry, drawing and reading the numbers and Alderman Robinson,<br />

assisted by Alderman Fleming <strong>of</strong> ward 5, drawing and reading the names. In<br />

this manner seats war a drawn and after changeshad been made by mutual<br />

agreement, the aldermen v/ere seated as follows:-<br />
