These mounted points are manufactured from
a special vitrified bond and bubble grain
aluminum oxide (HKK).
The low covalent bond in combination with
the extremely brittle hollow sphere aluminum
oxide results in the softest mounted point
bond.
Advantages:
■■Due
to the bubble grain aluminum oxide,
the mounted points have a very open-cell
structure and large chip spaces.
■■Mounted
point clogging problems are
prevented by the open-cell structure.
Recommendations for use
Can be used for accurate shaping work and
precise grinding on hooves.
These mounted points perform best at a
cutting speed of 5 to 20 m/s.
Flexible shafts and electric straight grinders
can be used as power tools.

Speeds of POLICAP ® tools
POLICAP ® tools are used at a cutting speed
of 10-20 m/s on steel. The speeds should be
appropriately reduced on the horse's hoof.
