Two first’s for new<br />
basecoat system<br />
<str<strong>on</strong>g>AkzoNobel</str<strong>on</strong>g> <str<strong>on</strong>g>Aerospace</str<strong>on</strong>g> <str<strong>on</strong>g>Coatings</str<strong>on</strong>g> achieved two first’s for<br />
their Aerodur Basecoat/Clearcoat system recently from<br />
Bombardier <str<strong>on</strong>g>Aerospace</str<strong>on</strong>g>.<br />
Firstly Bombardier <str<strong>on</strong>g>Aerospace</str<strong>on</strong>g> because<br />
the first OEM to fully approve and QPL<br />
Aerodur 3001 Basecoat, with Aerodur<br />
3002 Clearcoat. Sec<strong>on</strong>dly the Basecoat/<br />
Clearcoat system was approved in a<br />
system with a full chromate free primer,<br />
Alumigrip 4101.<br />

The approval will allow Bombardier to reduce<br />
their process times, whilst being able to<br />
offer a paint system that not <strong>on</strong>ly offers<br />
enhanced durability but at the same time<br />
is more envir<strong>on</strong>mentally friendly. This also<br />
fully supports the Bombardier organisati<strong>on</strong>’s<br />
sustainability objectives.<br />

have now built up a number of ‘followers’<br />
and have decided to further our ‘Social<br />
Media’ strategy by launching <strong>on</strong> YouTube.<br />

Further more Richards<strong>on</strong> <strong>com</strong>ments,<br />
“launching <strong>on</strong> YouTube means that we can<br />
make available more informati<strong>on</strong> to our<br />
customer base. We have a number of films <strong>on</strong><br />
our YouTube page and we intend to link<br />
training films to the account going forward,<br />
meaning that our customers have enhanced<br />
training media available to them as we launch<br />
our next generati<strong>on</strong> of coatings.”<br />
