Dear Mu’mins!<br />

Our <strong>hutbe</strong> is about the importance of sincere<br />

deeds to save imaan.<br />

Sincere (Salih) deeds strengthen, consolidate<br />

and save imaan. Sincere deed, meanly Amel-i<br />

Salih, was ordered more than ninety times<br />

directly or indirectly in Quran Azimusshan.<br />

The ayahs which sincere deed was quoted in<br />

usually start with imaan firstly. Those are<br />

usually beginning like “Those who believe and<br />

make sincere deed”. This mentions that faith<br />

(imaan) and deed (<strong>amel</strong>) are the inseparable<br />

parts of a whole. Allah (swt) says in Holy<br />

Quran: “And as for those who believe and<br />

do good works, we shall remit from them<br />

their evil deeds and shall repay them the<br />

best that they did” (Ankebut 7)<br />

“And give glad tidings (O Muhammad)<br />

unto those who believe and do good<br />

works; that theirs are Gardens underneath<br />

which rivers flow” (Bakara 25)<br />

In the holy month of Ramadan which is the<br />

month of Prophet Muhammeds ummah, we<br />

must try our best to make sincere deeds<br />

because in this month, farz sawaab is given<br />

to nafilah ibadahs, and 70 times more sewaab<br />

is given to farz ibadahs.<br />

Imaan (faith) is a candle, a noor which Allah<br />

(swt) fired into mu’min’s heart. Guarding<br />

castles and frames of this are sincere deeds,<br />

farz, vajeeb, sunnah, mustehab, mendub and<br />

nafilah. Iman is guarded by framing and<br />

taking them in a castle with these worships.<br />

Whoever leaves farz, vajeeb, sunnah, he<br />

can’t save his imaan easily. Imam-ı Rabbani<br />

(rh) says the following: “To say “my heart is<br />

clean” without making sincere deeds is<br />

senseless. It is cheating himself.” (39 th Letter)<br />

Dear Muslims!<br />

Our sincere deeds will protect us from all<br />

dangers and pests after death.<br />

Rasulullah (sav) says by telling his dream: “I<br />

saw strange things in my dream. Torture<br />

angels had caught one of my ummah.<br />

Ablutions he had got rescued him from his<br />

trouble. I saw one, his grave was squeezing<br />

him. The prayers he had prayed rescued him<br />

from grave torture. Evils had been pestering<br />

someone. His Zikrs came and rescued him<br />

from Sheytan. Someone’s tongue had been<br />

hanging out because of thirst. His Ramadan<br />

fastings came and quenched his thirst.<br />

Gloom surrounded someone. His Haj took<br />

him away from dark. Death angel had come<br />

to someone. His favors to his parents came,<br />

prevent his death, delayed it. Someone<br />

wasn’t being communicated with muslims. His<br />

visits to relatives came, interceded to him and<br />

talk to them who didn’t let him to talk to<br />

muslims. They were preventing someone to<br />

go to next to his prophet. His Gusul took him<br />

and brought next to me. To someone who<br />

wanted to defend himself from fire, his<br />

Sadaqa came and became a curtain to the<br />

fire. While Zebaanees were taking someone<br />

to the Jahannam, his Emr-i Ma’ruf and Nehy-i<br />

Munker rescued him. Someone was thrown to<br />

the fire. His tears he weeped because of the<br />

fear of Allah rescued him from there.<br />

While someone’s book was being given from<br />

his left side, his fear from Allah turned it to the<br />

right side. Someone’s children who died<br />

before him came and make his sawaabs<br />

heavier whose sawaabs were light before. To<br />

someone who was thrilling near the<br />

Jahannam because of fear, his good feeling<br />

to Allah (swt) came and his thrilling stopped.<br />

Someone who hardly passed Sıraat came to<br />

Jannah. But the gates were closed. His<br />

Kelime-i Shehadeh came and put him into the<br />

Jannah.” (Tirmizi)<br />

I would like to finish hutbah with the meaning<br />

of Sure-i Asr: “By the declining day, Lo!<br />

man is a state of loss, Save those who<br />

believe and do good works, and exhort<br />

one another to truth and exhort one<br />

another to endurance” (Asr 1-3)
