Muhterem Müslümanlar!
Allahü Teâlâ, topraktan yaratmış olduğu
insanoğluna, sayılmayacak derecede çok nimetler
vermiş ve ihsan ettiği servet ve nimetlerden, infak
ve ihsan etmemizi de emretmiştir.
Farz olan zekâtın ve vacip olan sadaka-i fıtrın
ödenmesinde, gerek verenin malında gerekse verilen
sadakada belirli bir miktar mevcuttur. Fakat infak
ve ikram, nafile ibadet olduğu için, verilecek şeyde
muayyen bir miktar yoktur.
İnfak ve ikram, az veya çok olabilir. Aile efradını
muhtaç bir hale düşürmemek şartı ile ikram artırılıp
azaltılabilir. “Yarım hurma danesiyle olsa bile
ateşten sakının” hadîs-i şerifi bu hakikati açığa
koymaktadır.
Hâl böyle olunca, fakir ve zengin herkes durumuna
göre cömertlik yapabilir. Peygamber Efendimiz (
sas) şöyle buyuruyor:“Cömertlik, dalları dünyanın
içine uzanan, cennet ağaçlarında biridir. Kim
onun bir dalını tutarsa; o dal kendisini cennete
çeker. Cimrilik de dalları dünya içine uzanan
cehennem ağaçlarından biridir. Kim onun bir
dalına yapışırsa o dal, kendisini cehenneme çekip
götürür”.
Cimri kimsenin, inancı tam olmadığı için, eli sıkı ve
gönlü merhametsizdir. Biraz verince elindekinin
tamamen tükeneceğini sanır. Cömertlik malı
noksanlaştırmaz. Bağın budanması, daha fazla üzüm
elde etmenin zahirî bir sebebi olduğu gibi verilen
sadaka, yapılan infak ve ikram da malın
mayalanmasına, bereketlenmesine sebep olur.
Nitekim Resûlullah Efendimiz bir hadîs-i
şeriflerinde şöyle buyurmaktadır:
“Sadaka (vermek), malı noksanlaştırmaz”.
Bir mü'min din kardeşine faydalı oldukça Allah'ın
lütuf hazinelerinden bir ikrama nail olur.
Efendimiz(sas), cömert olanları, hayr-u hasenatta
bulunanları, överek şöyle buyuruyor:
“İki huy vardır ki Allah onları sever. İki huy da
vardır. Allah onları sevmez. İşte Allah'ın sevdiği
o iki (huy) cömertlikle hoş görülü olmaktır.
Allah'ın buğz ettiği iki huya gelince, onlar da huy
kötülüğü ve cimriliktir”.
Muhterem Müminler!
Ehl-i sünnet ve`l-cemaat âlimleri; cömert insanın
malının artmasında, bereketlenmesinde şaşılacak
bir şey olmadığını, çünkü meleklerin onun duacısı,
Allah-u Teâlâ`nın ona yardım ettiğini
söylemişlerdir.
Allah için verilen bir şey asla karşılıksız kalmaz.
İnsan dünyada ve âhirette, yaptığı iyiliğin karşılığını
görecektir. Kuran-ı Kerimde bir âyet-i kerimede
şöyle buyruluyor: “... (Hayır için) ne sarf
ederseniz. O (Allah), bunun ardından (daha iyi-
sini) lütfeder”. (Sure-i Sebe/39)
Din-i Celil-i İslâmın yücelmesi için, yayılması için
yapılan cömertlik en büyük ve en makbul
cömertliktir. Bu yolda sarf edilen mal, en hayırlı
maldır.

Hutbemize Imam-i Rabbâni Hazretleri'nin
Mektubat-i Serîfesindeki, Islama hizmet icin
yapilan cömertlikle alakali, bir cumlesiyle nihayet
verelim: "Allah yolunda infak (ve cömertlik)
hususunda en önde olanlar Sahâbe-i
Kirâm'dir...Onlarin derecelerinin büyüklügünü
nasil idrak edebiliriz."(2/67)

Dear Muslims
Allah c.c. has bestowed upon mankind whom he has
created from soil many nimahs and commanded
them to generously donate from the nimahs given
to them. There is a several amount determined for
Zakah which is farz and Sadaqah al Fitr which is
wajeeb, however there isn’t a certain amount for
nafilah sadaqahs because it is a nafilah ibadah. The
sadaqah intended may be alot or maybe not very
much. As long as the family of the donor isn’t going
to suffer from hardship, this amount may increase
or decrease. “Protect your selves from hell-fire
even by donating half of a date” this hadeeth of
Rasulullah (sas) emphasizes this matter.
Under the circumstances, every person, rich or
poor should donate in accordance with their
financial state. Rasulullah (sas) says “Generosity is
one of the trees in Jannah which the branches
reach the world. Whoever grasps on to one of
its branches, it would lead them to Jannah.
Stinginess is one of the trees in Jahannam
which the branches reach the world. Whoever
grasps on to one of its branches, it would lead
them to Jahannam.
Because the faith in a stingy person isn’t complete,
they are tight handed and their hearts are pitiless.
When they give away a bit, they worry about
loosing the rest. Generosity will not affect wealth.
Like vineyard pruning is the cause of grapes to
increase, giving away sadaqah is the cause of the
wealth to increase.
Prophet Muhammed (sas) says the following:
“Sadaqah will not decrease anything from your
wealth”.
The more a Muslim is beneficial to his brethren,
the more Allah’s nimahs will be bestowed upon him.
Rasulullah (sas) commends ones who are generous
and good-doing and says: “There are two habits
that Allah loves and two habits that He hates.
The two habits He loves are; generosity and
tolerance.
The two He hates are; bad character and
stinginess.”
Dear Mumins
The Ehl-u Sunnah Alims state that there isn’t
anything astonishing in the increase of wealth of
generous people, because the angels of Allah pray
for them and Allah c.c. helps them.
Something donated for fii sebilillah will never be
unreturned. Every person will be rewarded for
every good deed committed.
Allah c.c. says the following in the holy Quran
“..and whatsoever you spend of anything (in
Allah's Cause), He will replace it. And He is the
Best of providers” (Surat-us Sebe’/39)
Being generous for the spread and exalting of
Islam is certainly the most great and appreciated
generosity. Every bit of goods given for this sake
is the most beneficial donation.
Let’s finish our hutbah with a quotation from Imam
Rabbani’s Mektubat-i Shareefah “The Sahabi’s of
Rasulullah are certainly the foremost generous
ones in donating for fii sebilillah. How could we
possibly understand the greatness of their
ranks..”(2/67)
