<strong>SR</strong> <strong>Technics</strong> completes integration of FLS Aerospace<br />
and consolidates brand<br />
Zurich, London, Dublin, January 28 th 2005<br />
<strong>SR</strong> <strong>Technics</strong> today announced the completion of the integration of<br />
FLS Aerospace following the acquisition of the Company in June<br />
2004. The enlarged group is the world’s largest independent Total<br />
Solutions Provider of aircraft, component, engine and technical<br />
services with a combined turnover of $1.2 billion.<br />
The integration has involved an intensive, 6-month phase of alignment, induction of all<br />
employees to the <strong>SR</strong> <strong>Technics</strong> Brand values and restructuring of the businesses to optimise<br />
efficiency and service quality for the group’s customers. This phase has now been<br />
successfully completed.<br />
From January 28 th a revised Group structure comes into place. The FLS Aerospace brand<br />
will be replaced by the <strong>SR</strong> <strong>Technics</strong> brand and FLS Aerospace (UK) Limited and FLS<br />
Aerospace (IRL) Limited will be renamed <strong>SR</strong> <strong>Technics</strong> UK Limited and <strong>SR</strong> <strong>Technics</strong> Ireland<br />
Limited respectively. The Swiss entity will remain as <strong>SR</strong> <strong>Technics</strong> Switzerland. In addition,<br />
other smaller entities within the group will also take on the <strong>SR</strong> <strong>Technics</strong> name.<br />
Each entity will provide complimentary services within the group and Focused Service<br />
Centres for specific products and services have been established. The Swiss entity is a<br />
Focused Service Centre for Airbus providing base, component, line and technical services,<br />
in addition to its engine maintenance services. In the UK, the focus will be on Boeing<br />
aircraft with this entity providing light and line maintenance, component and technical<br />
services for this type. In Ireland, the group will focus on both Boeing and Airbus providing<br />
heavy and line maintenance, aircraft modifications and component support of these<br />
services. In addition, the Dublin facility has become the Focused Service Centre for<br />
engineering design within the group, having recently acquired its EASA 21 Design Approval.<br />
Speaking at employee events being staged at <strong>SR</strong> <strong>Technics</strong> facilities today to mark the<br />
completion of the integration and the consolidation under the <strong>SR</strong> <strong>Technics</strong> brand, Hans<br />
Ulrich Beyeler, President and CEO, <strong>SR</strong> <strong>Technics</strong>, said: “The integration process has gone<br />

The group will continue with plans to integrate IT and implement one enterprise-wide IT<br />
system, SAP, across the organisation. SAP is currently in place at <strong>SR</strong> <strong>Technics</strong> Switzerland<br />
and is expected to be rolled out at <strong>SR</strong> <strong>Technics</strong> UK and <strong>SR</strong> <strong>Technics</strong> Ireland late this year.<br />
