maintenance<br />

<strong>SR</strong> <strong>Technics</strong> now offers aircraft operators an industry-leading 45-day turnaround time<br />

for engine maintenance, thereby reducing the engine lease times and number of spare<br />

engines needed. The new service level is in line with <strong>SR</strong> <strong>Technics</strong>’ strategy to develop<br />

solutions that provide added value for its airline customers.<br />

As a result of its efforts to steadily improve operational efficiency, <strong>SR</strong> <strong>Technics</strong> is now<br />

able to complete its engine service on engine types CFM56-5B, CFM56-5C and<br />

CFM56-7B in only 45 days. With this, <strong>SR</strong> <strong>Technics</strong> sets a new best-in-class standard<br />

for the industry.<br />

In January 2010, the first engine to have received the new maintenance offering was<br />

delivered to the customer, Hapag Lloyd Flug GmbH.<br />

“The new maintenance offering will be a highly attractive option for operators to keep<br />

engine ground time to a minimum”, says André Wall, Chief Operating Officer at<br />

<strong>SR</strong> <strong>Technics</strong>. “Together with industry-leading speed, <strong>SR</strong> <strong>Technics</strong> continues to deliver<br />

the world-class quality and safety standards it is renowned for.”<br />

More than 130 companies around the world rely on the engine services offered by<br />

<strong>SR</strong> <strong>Technics</strong>. These include repair and overhaul work on engines and engine<br />

components for models CFM56-5B, -5C and -7B and PW4000- 94” and -100” as well<br />

as engineering services.<br />

Customers also enjoy 24-hour on-wing support 365 days a year, trend monitoring,<br />

comprehensive material management and support in engine leasing. <strong>SR</strong> <strong>Technics</strong>’<br />

Engine Maintenance Centre in Zurich also provides additional services such as tailormade<br />

asset management concepts, data management, an exchange pool of used<br />

parts for partners, and training courses.<br />
