Primary Responsibilities
Office of the Mayor
Division of Constituent Affairs
The Division of Constituent Affairs consists of five ward liaisons that are responsible for
fostering an on-going relationship between constituents and the Mayor’s Office. The Division
serves as a resource to aid residents with navigating through city, county, state, and federal
services effectively. Moreover, this Division serves as the primary headquarters for those
constituent services available directly from the Mayor’s office, including the Mayor’s Open
Office Hours program.
Ward Liaisons – South, Central, East, North, and West
Build and maintain rapport with community leaders, activities, groups, businesses, etc…
Attend community meetings within respective ward and/or relevant city wide, county wide,
and/or state wide meetings
Complete random assessments within assigned areas: sanitation, code enforcement, etc…
Organize and lead community based focus groups, which are responsible for hosting community
outreach fairs and making recommendations to the Mayor regarding ward improvements and
quality of life issues
Supervise community canvassing task force within respective ward.
Represent the Mayor/Director in his absence
Administrative Assistant/Intern Staff
Intake and route office calls accordingly
Manage constituent grievances address to the Mayor
To answer and route all division calls appropriately.
To serve as chief data technician for division of constituent affairs.
To represent the division in the absence of the director on city-wide planning committees.
To oversee mayoral accommodation process.
To process weekly and monthly reports
