Super Neighborhood Community Covenant
The Mayor and City Council are committed to actively engaging the community in all aspects of
municipal government. . An involved and informed community is central to the revitalization
and prosperity of our neighborhoods and communities. Thus, the Super Neighborhood
Community Covenant (SNCC) initiative seeks to increase meaningful and consistent citizen
participation and collaboration.
A Super Neighborhood is a geographically designated area where homeowners, tenant
associations, civic organizations, non-profits, educational institutions and businesses work
together to identify, plan, and set priorities to address common needs and concerns.
Currently there are ten Super Neighborhoods: Forest Hill (North Ward), Ironbound (East Ward),
Lincoln Park, Springfield/Belmont (Central Ward), Weequahic Park (South Ward), Clinton Hill,
Fairmount, Lower Roseville, University Heights, and West Side Park.
