using traditional federated avionics platforms. To reduce avionics DO-178B development and
deployment costs, along with addressing size, weight, and power (SWaP), leading companies
are implementing robust partitioned ARINC 653 IMA architectures based on
commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) technologies as well as more capable deterministic
Ethernet-based databusses (e.g., AFDX and TTEthernet).

capabilities of next-generation aircraft avionics, enable compliance with ARINC 661, and
