Thank you for your interest in our <strong>International</strong> M.<strong>Sc</strong>. <strong>Program</strong> in <strong>Advanced</strong> <strong>Materials</strong> .<br />

We believe that you will find our school a challenging and stimulating environment which will significantly enhance your<br />

future career. We encourage you to apply if you believe you meet our high standards. In order to properly assess your<br />

previous academic achievements and judge your capabilities to succeed in our program, we kindly ask you to complete the<br />

questionnaire below. Please read the questions carefully. If you have any doubts or questions concerning this application<br />

form, please feel free to contact us either by electronic mail, phone, or fax.<br />

After completing the application form, please save it and send it as attachment per E-Mail to:<br />

In addition, send the following per post mail to the Admissions Office of "<strong>Advanced</strong> <strong>Materials</strong>" at the address given above<br />

as soon as possible:<br />

1. Signed copy of your online application (if necessary with amended Statement of Objectives and/or curriculum<br />

vitae)<br />

2. Certified photocopies of all official transcripts<br />

3. Two letters of reference from University teachers. Please include these letters, in separately sealed<br />

envelopes, with your application package. Please note: recommendations from company staff and other<br />

persons not affiliated with an university are not valid.<br />

4. Copy of your English test (the TOEFL code for Ulm University is 8407)<br />

Note: A minimum score of 88 for the internet based TOEFL or a minimum score of 6.5 for theIELTS test is needed.<br />

Many German Embassies require that you pass the TOEFL before they will issue your Visa.<br />

You are not required to pass an English exam if English is your native language, or if one of your<br />

previous degrees is from a University where lectures were conducted in English.<br />

Please provide supporting documentation in the latter case<br />

<strong>Application</strong>s must be postmarked no later than April 30 th 2012.<br />

If you have problems meeting this deadline, please let us know immediately.<br />

Please note that you may apply even if you have not finished your bachelor degree or if you do not yet have proof of<br />

English knowledge. However, if you are admitted into the program, you will have to provide these documents by the time of<br />

enrollment at the latest.<br />

Note that in order to successfully apply to the <strong>Advanced</strong> <strong>Materials</strong> program, you need to have a Bachelor of <strong>Sc</strong>ience<br />
