Surface Preparation:
After the adhesive is fully hardened, the surface treatment can commence.
Pre-sand with a drum sanding machine using a Pallmann
abrasive, grade 36 to 80 grit. The surface to be oiled must be clean, dry,
free from sanding dust, and maintenance product residues, etc.
Application:
1. Before use, allow the containers to come to room temperature and
shake well.
2. Using the Pallmann Surface Trowel, apply several, even coats of
Soyabase Plus onto the surface, one after the other and a minimum
of 2 coats, until the flooring material is saturated. Alternatively,
for highly absorbent timbers, the first coat can be applied
using a short-pile Pallmann roller.
3. After approx 30 – 45 minutes remove any residual excess with a
white pad. For heavily saturated surfaces, remove the excess with
a green pad.
4. For an even better finish, the surface can be re-polished the following
day using a white pad lightly dampened with Soyabase Plus.
5. After use, clean tools with Uni Clean.
6. For a long wear life of the flooring, we recommend regular maintenance
in accordance with the manufacture’s recommendations,
using Care-Oil, Wood Floor Soap and Wash-Wax.
Consumption:
A minimum of 2 trowel-applied coats is recommended.
Recommended quantity per coat: 25 – 35 ml/ m 2
Coverage per litre: 30 – 40 m 2
* The consumption can vary according to the absorbency and surface condition of the wood or
parquet to be impregnated.
Important Notes:
❚ Shelf life minimum 12 months in original packaging when stored in relatively
cool conditions. Tightly reseal opened containers and use the
contents as quickly as possible.
❚ Optimum conditions are 18 to 25 °C and relative humidity > 35 % and
< 65 %. Low temperatures and high humidity lengthen, high temperatures
and low humidity shorten the drying time.
❚ As joint filler, we recommend Hydro Kitt.
❚ If Soyabase Plus is to be roller-applied, always use a short-pile roller (e. g.
the Pallmann Roller). Then over-trowel any surface residues whilst still wet.
The consumption for roller-application must not exceed 60 ml/m2 ❚ If impregnating pre-finished parquet, always follow the manufacturer’s
recommendations and always make a test.
❚ Moderate use of the surface is possible 24 hours at the earliest after
polishing.
❚ Leave freshly oiled surfaces at least 3 – 4 days before any maintenance
treatment with Soya Wax Care.
❚ Regular maintenance with Pallmann Soya Oil Care, Soya Soap Care and
Soya Wax Care improves the appearance, and increases the wear life of the
waxed surfaces.
❚ The following standards and notices are applicable and especially recommended:
DIN 18 356 “Working with parquet” and DIN 18 367 “Working
with woodblocks”.
Protection of the Workplace and the Environment:
Non-flammable. During application, the use of a barrier cream and good ventilation of the work area
are recommended.
Important Note:
contact of this product with pads or textile materials leads to the risk of spontaneous
combustion! Therefore, soak any contaminated cloths, pads, etc.with water and store or
dispose in tightly sealed containers.
