Celebrations continued with a presentation
of the Awards of Merit for Excellence in
Already teaching laparoscopic surgery at
120 centres in countries including Rwanda,
Ghana, Colombia, Peru, Guyana, Jamaica and
the Ukraine, the Centre is branching out even
further. In particular, specialized training in
maternal and newborn health is desperately
needed in countries around the world. The
establishment of the Centre promises training
programs for this area and many others.
