SECTION II. (Heteromera.)<br />
Five joints in the anterior and middle pairs of feet, and<br />
four joints in the posterior pair. The Beetles of this Section<br />
are termed Heteromera, from the Greek word hetero, meaning<br />
different, prefixed to mera, meaning pieces or parts.<br />
