Late Afternoon<br />
A quick study <strong>of</strong> a fellow-painter on<br />
<strong>the</strong> trip, spot lit by <strong>the</strong> sun against<br />
<strong>the</strong> crumbling plaster <strong>and</strong> tiles <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />
old boat huts <strong>of</strong> Cabasson. We were<br />
reading about <strong>the</strong> Bloomsbury Group <strong>of</strong><br />
painters in London who would regularly<br />
paint one ano<strong>the</strong>r working. This<br />
could well have been a subconscious<br />
influence on <strong>the</strong> subject.
