gi ve n a note of direction to Hayagri va for<br />

writ<strong>in</strong>g a Drama on Lord Chaitanya and if<br />

he can deli ver us a nice Drama for stag<strong>in</strong>g<br />

<strong>in</strong> your different parts of the State it will be<br />

a great stride for our mission and I hope it<br />

will help us f<strong>in</strong>ancially a great deal. Just<br />

you encourage Hayagri va to write this<br />

Drama ve ry nicely <strong>in</strong> Poetry so that they<br />

can be sung <strong>in</strong> western tone all over<br />

America and Europe and staged everywhere<br />

to co ver our expenses.<br />

Brahmananda may try Mr. Kallman<br />

and Mr. Fulton to help me gett<strong>in</strong>g a permanent<br />

Visa immediately. These two gentlemen<br />

have entered <strong>in</strong>to Contract with me<br />

for record<strong>in</strong>g and lectur<strong>in</strong>g all over<br />

U.S.A. and it will be a great loss on their<br />

part ifl am not granted a permanent Visa.<br />

Mr. Fulton may arrange immediately<br />

some lectures <strong>in</strong> Canada and that will help<br />

us both ways namely to sa ve the Visa <strong>from</strong><br />

be<strong>in</strong>g cancelled at the same time I can<br />

visit Montreal without any h<strong>in</strong>drance.<br />

You can reply this letter to New York<br />

address because by this time 3-15 P. M.<br />

(San Francisco time) on Sunday next I<br />

shall be <strong>in</strong> New York.<br />

On my arri val here I was recei<br />

ved by hundreds of de votees and<br />

friends although Mr. G<strong>in</strong>sberge was out<br />

of the town. One young professor <strong>from</strong> India<br />

first greeted me and told me that<br />

Swamiji you are do<strong>in</strong>g here real work<br />

whereas others who ha ve come <strong>from</strong> India,<br />

ha ve simply formed some groups of<br />

old lady students without any real <strong>in</strong>formation<br />

of Indian orig<strong>in</strong>al culture. Any<br />

way the reception <strong>in</strong> New York was ve ry<br />

good organised by our students here and<br />

there was distribution of va rieties of Prasadam<br />

to about 100 men <strong>in</strong> the temple. I<br />

was not least tired and after land<strong>in</strong>g <strong>from</strong><br />

the air ship although there was some<br />

blockade <strong>in</strong> my ear still I cont<strong>in</strong>ued meet<strong>in</strong>g<br />

for three hours. I am now ve ry well although<br />

I am feel<strong>in</strong>g your great separation.<br />

Please cont<strong>in</strong>ue Kirtan as usual with de votion<br />

and you will make more and more advancement<br />

<strong>in</strong> <strong>Krishna</strong> consciousness.<br />
