In addition to its impressive technical data, the Durst Kappa 180 V2 is an evolution in terms
of value and ecology because it reduces water and electricity consumption compared to
traditional methods, while offering full flexibility at the same time. In contrast to classic
printing processes, printing is ready for use within a few hours, water consumption is reduced
by up to 90% and only a fraction of the quantity of chemicals is required. Besides these
environmentally sound and cost-efficient innovations, creating the printing template is
significantly less expensive and immediately reproducible due to the elimination of the preprinting
processes. Each conversion is performed directly by the computer, making set-up
times and stencil creation a thing of the past.
Using the „Costview“ software, Kappa 180 V2 enables the exact calculation of production
costs and environmental factors for each printing job. A dashboard is used to analyze all of the
relevant parameters such as ink, material, electricity and other items, while calculating CO2
emissions for all of the production steps at the same time. Costview features a web interface
so that all of the analyses can be shared with other departments at any time.
Sustainability is the central topic in the textile industry. End customers demand it, and it is an
important selection criterion in the supply chain. With Kappa 180 V2, Durst does not just offer
