The Wangen program of progressing cavity pumps is a high quality line of eccentric 

pumps, reliable and with an extended long life cycle. The basis of the success of 

the Wangen pumps is a combination of qualified and dediated technical staff from 

Wangen and the application and market knowledge of Verder A/S, with a long 

experience in advice and technical application possibilities. 

The Verder Wangen program includes a series 

of progressing cavity pumps, augers and 

accessories. There are special series for the food 

industry and (waste) water treatment to name 

but a few. Including feed hopper pumps and on 

request also vertical pumps and custom made 

pumps. Our wide range of materials and seals 

and sophisticated accessories enable us to 

supply the best possible solution for almost 

any application. We will be happy to test your 

product in the testing facility.

Overview pump models 

The most important parts of the system are the moving 

part, the rotor and the fixed part, the stator, in which the 

rotor rotates. The rotor can be viewed as being a screw with 

an extremely high speed, great eccentric movement and a 

small diameter. The stator has one worm thread more than 

the rotor and twice the thread of the pitch. Consequently, 

there are continuously shift spaces (“progressing cavities“) 

between the rotor and the stator. 

KL Series 

The KL series of pumps are the standard series of progressing cavity 

pumps for general industrial applications such as pumping lubricating 

media, media containing solids up to 10%, sludge and more.

(R version max. 500 m³/h) 

KB series 

The KB series pumps are used for "heavy duty" operation; high solids, 

abrasive media, or for pumping media with a temperature > 80°C. 

The pump has a built-in hopper for sludgy media. These pump series 

is close coupled. Also hygienic versions available (CIP cleaning, 

polished RA < 0.8 μm). 

Flow range 150 m³/h 


GL series 

The GL Series are developed for applications where high flow rates 

and high pressures are required. Viscous media, containing solids 

are handled well with this pump series. Applications are found in 

slurry tankers and umbilical systems, agriculture, biogas plants, 

for municipal slurries and environmental protection 



KL-T series 

Series KL-T progressing cavity pump is a submersible pump series 

for emptying media from containers and basins. Whether liquid, 

abrasive, lumpy, sticky or highly viscous, all media are handled 

gently and are pumped shear sensitive.

KL Series 

The KL series is the basic pump series of our Wangen pump 

range. These pumps can be equipped with various rotor/stator 

geometries and are used in almost all branches of industry 

for pumping low to high viscous mediawith or without solids. 

This pump is of exceptionally high quality and extremely cost 

effective.

KL+ Series 

The -Wangen KL-+ models hopper feed pumps are excellent 

pumps for pumping difficult flowing, non-fluidising or high 

viscous media. The feed hopper and the feed screw ensure a 

perfect flow. 

Model KL-R 

The Wangen Model KL-R progressing cavity pump has a modular 

design. Its specially constructed hopper and sealing system enable 

the transfer of media without impairment of their structure or quality. 

A maintenance friendly, virtually gap-free version is also ideal for use 

in the food industry.

Model KL-RQ 

Wangen KL-RQ pumps are equipped with a big hopper 

feed device, serving as an integrated bridge breaker, and 

a collecting container for continuous feeding. They are 

developed for conveying dewatered sludge with high dry 

substance content (DS) of 15 to 45%.

Model KL-RS 

The Wangen Model KL-RS pump is a hopper silo pump for conveying 

and metering dewatered sewage sludge with a dry substance content 

(DS) of 15 to 45%. This makes the Model KL-RS silo discharge pump 

an indispensable core unit in modern sewage plants.

Dewatered sewage sludge is stored temporarily 

in buffer tanks with capacities of up to 500 m³. 

From this point it is tranferred by the pumps, 

which are flange-fitted to the bottom of the silos, 

in automatic 24-hour dosing mode to a drying 

plant or an incineration plant.

The Wangen KB series of pumps are close coupled progressing 

cavity pumps. A very good series of standard and heavy duty 

pumps for pumping viscous and abrasive media. These pump 

series is also available in a hygienic version for food and 

pharmaceutical applications. According to 3A and EHEDG for 

pumping in hygienic, clean and sterilized areas. 

Model KB-S / KB-S GG 

The Wangen Model KB-S en GG progressing cavity pump is close 

coupled to the drive and is pumping viscous as well as abrasive media. 

Flow 0.1 - 150 m³/h (GG version 5 m³/h)

Model KB-SL Hygienic 

The Wangen Model KB-SL Hygienic progressing cavity pump is a 

further development of the pump series KB-S for the food industry. 

All wetted parts polished RA < 0.8 μm. Other quality characteristics 

are gentle pumping, a virtually gap and crevice-free design, high 

availability and little maintenance.

Wangen model GL-F progressing cavity pumps have a compact

Wangen model GL-S progressing cavity pumps are very well equipped 

for umbilical systems to pump large slurry volumes easily. They can be 

used as stationary pumps or – connected on slurry tankers or trolleys 

– for mobile duties. Numerous versions make the GL-S a pump for 

universal use. The GL-S pumps handle watery or viscous products as 

easily as materials with high solids content.
