The Financial News <strong>awards</strong> set the standard by which client relations teams<br />
should be judged, in particular when it comes to winning and retaining<br />
mandates. The panel of independent judges considered how client relations<br />
teams performed in 2007. It also appraised the general contribution the<br />
short-listed teams have made to the development of the institutional asset management industry, taking into<br />
account any initiatives they may have taken. Results were announced on 7 July 2008.<br />

Best Trustee Education<br />
Kasina Awards<br />
Winner: #1 Institutional Website- 2008<br />
On 17 th September, 2008, Kasina announced that <strong>Goldman</strong> <strong>Sachs</strong> Asset Management’s institutional web site<br />
was ranked most highly among other asset management firms. Firms were assessed based on categories such<br />
as content, usability, and marketing. <strong>Goldman</strong> <strong>Sachs</strong> Asset Management was recognized for leading the pack.<br />
Global Investor – Awards for Investment Excellence 2008<br />
Investment consultants and leading pension funds from around the<br />
globe were invited to nominate asset management firms in each<br />
category. Following further research by Global Investor, the<br />
nominations were condensed into a shortlist of three firms for each<br />
category. The firms who reach the shortlist have achieved not only<br />
strong performance in a particular asset class during 2007, but also<br />
boast a clear investment process and philosophy, a stable investment team and strong business management.<br />
The nominees then submit a judging form based on various aspects of the business including the criteria<br />
above. This is then sent to a panel of judges from the industry who vote for the winner.<br />
