RULES<br />
The Championship will be played in accordance with the rules of golf as approved by the Royal & Ancient Golf Club of<br />
St-Andrews and the General Conditions of Play of The French Golf Federation, and in accordance with the local rules<br />
as approved by the Championship Committee.<br />
REGULATIONS<br />
Entries will be accepted from Ladies’ Amateur players who are members of a recognised Golf Union.<br />
INDEX LIMIT : 6.4<br />
The player’s National Golf Union must certify the exact handicap at the closing date.<br />
ENTRIES SHALL BE LIMITED TO 144<br />
In the event of entries exceeding this number, entry will be decided using the lowest exact handicaps.<br />
Drivers :<br />
The drivers should not have a characteristic of time higher than 257 microseconds, measured by the test of the pendulum approved<br />
by the R&A Rules Limited. Penalty for infringement with the rules : disqualification<br />
The list of the drivers non in conformity can be consulted on www.randa.org (see rules/equipment/driving clubs).<br />
CONDITIONS OF <strong>PLAY</strong><br />
Stroke play / 72 holes / 18 holes a day / 36 holes the last day<br />
Friday 17 th June : 1 st round<br />
Saturday 18 th June : 2 nd round<br />
Cut after 36 holes<br />
The 40 lowest scores and ties over these 36 holes will qualify for the final 36 holes to be played :<br />
Sunday 19 th June : 3 rd & 4 th rounds<br />

ENTRIES SHALL BE ACCEPTED ONLY :<br />
- If the entry form is fully completed and signed by the entrant on the appropriate official entry form<br />
- If the entry form is received by the French Golf Federation not later than the 17 th May midnight<br />
- If the player’s National Golf Union certifies the exact handicap at the date of entry.<br />
Late entries and entries by phone will not be accepted and the Championship Committee reserves the right to<br />
disqualify any competitor making a false statement on his entry form<br />
All entries will be subject to the approval of the Championship Committee, which reserves the right to accept or<br />
refuse, or having accepted, subsequently reject, any entry without giving reason for its decision.<br />

No entry fee for players aged 21 years and under (born in 1984 or after)<br />
PRIZES<br />
Cécile DE ROTHSCHILD Trophy will be held by the winner’s club. If the winner’s club is not located in France, the club<br />
where the championship has been played will held the trophy.<br />
Souvenirs presented by the F.F.Golf shall be received by the winner, the second and the third.<br />
Souvenirs presented by the F.F.Golf shall be received by the winner’s team for the Nations’ Cup.<br />

You pass under a bridge and you have the golf in front of you.<br />

Pau Golf Club is oldest of all the European continent. The first indices of the practice of this sport,<br />
go up well beyond the foundation in 1856 of Pau GOLF CLUB.<br />
HIGHLIGHT ON PAU<br />
Historically, Pau has been a centre of the arts and non-confirmist thinking. This dates back to when<br />
Pau was the capital of the ancient viscountcy of Bearn, and of the French part of the kingndom of<br />
Navarre, and the reigning sovereign married the sister of the King of France, Marguerite d'Angouleme<br />
- friend and protector of artists and intellectuals and herself an author.<br />
In the past this university city has been very popular with the English, who flocked here throughout<br />
the nineteenth century bringing with them pastimes such as fox-hunting, horse-racing, pool, croquet,<br />
cricket and golf. Pau's golf course was the first in continental Europe, and the first in the world to<br />
admit women.<br />
Today, Pau is still very much an artistic city evidenced by the galleries that one can see when<br />
walking through the centre. There are no real sights to see, so you can enjoy the ambience in a café,<br />
bar or restaurant, or simply by shopping! For those who are more adventurous, the night life is<br />
buzzing in the numerous bars around the Quartier du Triangle or the Boulevard des Pyrenees. On a<br />
clear day, the view from the boulevard is simply stunning, encompassing a ninety-kilometre sweep of<br />
the highest Pyrenees with the Pic du Midi d'Ossau directly in front of you.<br />
