1. OVERVIEW__________________________________<br />
Founded in 1919, the United States, <strong>Junior</strong> <strong>Achievement</strong> is the largest and oldest<br />
organization of practical education in business, economics and entrepreneurship in the<br />
world.<br />
It is currently present in over 120 countries. In Brazil, has units in all states and the<br />
Federal District.<br />
It is a nonprofit educational association, maintained by private initiative, whose goal is to<br />
awaken the entrepreneurial spirit in young, still in school, encouraging their personal<br />
development, providing a clear view of the business world and facilitating market access<br />
of work.<br />
In Brazil, there were 2 million and 600 thousand students benefited and 100 thousand<br />
volunteers involved. The activities of <strong>Junior</strong> <strong>Achievement</strong> are developed through<br />
educational programs carefully formulated, applied to young people through partnerships<br />
with schools and volunteers to share their experiences and knowledge with students of<br />
different ages.<br />
Globally, per year, 10 million young people participate to <strong>Junior</strong> <strong>Achievement</strong> programs,<br />
consolidating the entrepreneurial culture around the world, with an ethical and responsible<br />
approach.<br />
Therefore, it is through education programs implemented by corporate volunteers in<br />
schools and public and private shares held by small, medium and large companies, the<br />
young Brazilian students will benefit.<br />
The success of <strong>Junior</strong> <strong>Achievement</strong> is the result of synergy and dedication of all parties<br />
involved: companies, schools and students, the main link between them volunteers.<br />
