Today Osman Hulusi Atesh Darendevi around to whose light of creativity,
literary and artistic thinking, great tradition of philanthropy we are, is a
favorite philosopher, poet, and teacher who is respected and esteemed by
all Turkic people. Hulusi Darendevi as other Turkish poets left a creativity
heritage which will be studied for ages. But he differs from other poets in
many ways. First of all, he is one of few poets who wrote divan (collection of
poems) in the twentieth century. In his divan there are poems written in all
poem rhythms and in all bahrs of aruz. The scope of this creativity which is
typical for Middle centuries was not bestowed on everybody in the twentieth
century. For this God has chosen Darendevi too. Secondly, his whole creativity
serves truth, justice, ways of Almighty Creator. In Hulusi’s divan all points are
about praises for Allah, moreover, he did not dare to write something about
those who lost the way of truth. Leading the principle of “Allah is beautiful
and sees beautiful works”, he dedicated 76 years of his life to the service for
people.
Hulusi Darandevi gave his spiritual richness to the use of happiness for
people, development of education, science, moreover the material richness
he had, in narrow meaning he gave to the use of people and in broad meaning
