2.1 Management of special Child Labour Schools-
Fatehpur district is backward where per capita income is very
low and huge unemployment exists. For making both ends
meet the head of the family unscrupulously compels young
ones of 6 to 14 years of age to support the family kitty As a
result of this in their age of formation children are driven to
adopt such activities as rag picking helping at automobile
repair shops and wayside restaurants taking note of the
foregoing the organization has been running three schools of
50 children falling in the age group of 6 to 14 years with the
support of Labour Deptt, Fatehpur in these Child Labour
schools children get education upto class 5 with free
stationary and books as also mid day meal along with monthly
scholarship. Their families are supported by formation of
SHGs to rehabilitate them or supplement their income.
2.2 Residential Bridge Course Under Sarva Shiksha
Abhiyan
With the support of Basic Education Deptt. NYST Tisi
conducts a residential Bridge Course in Premnagar out of
Airayan Block of Distt, Fatehpur main objectline was impart
elementary education to all the children, since it is their
fundamental right. It is a challenge to bring every child in the
educational mainstream for this residential school, food,
health check-up and free stationery and books are being
provided to them. This six month long Bridge Course is
designed to take over the children to regular schools.
2.3 Alternative & Innovative Education Centre
There are 161 brick fields operating in different development blocks of Fatehpr district, Labour from
Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand and Orissa migrate along with their families. They sacrfice their
formative age at
the altar of
livelihood,
necessary for
survival. With the
support of Distt.
Basic Education
Deptt, the
organization has
started an
alternative and
innovative
Education Centre at 10 brick kilns situated in Hathagaon and
Bhitaura blocks of the district where 25 children in each batch in the age group 9 to 14 years are
educated by trained instructors. Thus children receive education despite their day long working schedule
their parents now has a smile on faces, for children would now be educated.
