2.1 Management of special Child Labour Schools-<br />

Fatehpur district is backward where per capita income is very<br />

low and huge unemployment exists. For making both ends<br />

meet the head of the family unscrupulously compels young<br />

ones of 6 to 14 years of age to support the family kitty As a<br />

result of this in their age of formation children are driven to<br />

adopt such activities as rag picking helping at automobile<br />

repair shops and wayside restaurants taking note of the<br />

foregoing the organization has been running three schools of<br />

50 children falling in the age group of 6 to 14 years with the<br />

support of Labour Deptt, Fatehpur in these Child Labour<br />

schools children get education upto class 5 with free<br />

stationary and books as also mid day meal along with monthly<br />

scholarship. Their families are supported by formation of<br />

SHGs to rehabilitate them or supplement their income.<br />

2.2 Residential Bridge Course Under Sarva Shiksha<br />

Abhiyan<br />

With the support of Basic Education Deptt. NYST <strong>Tisi</strong><br />

conducts a residential Bridge Course in Premnagar out of<br />

Airayan Block of Distt, Fatehpur main objectline was impart<br />

elementary education to all the children, since it is their<br />

fundamental right. It is a challenge to bring every child in the<br />

educational mainstream for this residential school, food,<br />

health check-up and free stationery and books are being<br />

provided to them. This six month long Bridge Course is<br />

designed to take over the children to regular schools.<br />

2.3 Alternative & Innovative Education Centre<br />

There are 161 brick fields operating in different development blocks of Fatehpr district, Labour from<br />

Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand and Orissa migrate along with their families. They sacrfice their<br />

formative age at<br />

Education Centre at 10 brick kilns situated in Hathagaon and<br />

Bhitaura blocks of the district where 25 children in each batch in the age group 9 to 14 years are<br />

educated by trained instructors. Thus children receive education despite their day long working schedule<br />

their parents now has a smile on faces, for children would now be educated.<br />
