Responsibilities<br />
MAIN DUTIES<br />

To manage the reprographics and audio-visual service to staff, students<br />
and the whole school community.<br />
To provide a high quality, efficient reprographic and audio-visual service.<br />
To organise servicing and maintenance of the equipment and ordering<br />
of consumables to ensure that service disruption is minimised.<br />
To provide a high quality, efficient reprographic service for all members of the<br />
school community,<br />
To advise staff about the design and development of general teaching materials<br />
such as handouts, teaching aids, workbooks etc.<br />
To output images from digital files for members of staff.<br />
Carry out manual and machine finishing of printed work.<br />
Ensure that all equipment is clean, fully operational and regularly serviced. To<br />
report any necessary chargeable repairs/replacements to the <strong>School</strong> Business<br />
Manager and arrange for service engineers to undertake repairs.<br />
To maintain adequate stocks of reprographic materials and equipment so as to<br />
ensure the efficient operation of the school’s reprographics services and value<br />
for money.<br />
Under the guidance of the Media Manager, develop initiatives, as part of the<br />
school’s income generation schemes to provide appropriate reprographic work<br />
for the community and outside agencies.<br />
Ensure all work is carried out in a professional manner and completed to a<br />
consistently high standard.<br />
Ensure that all work is treated as confidential and handled in a sensitive<br />
manner.<br />
Assist in the storage of paper deliveries.
Advise the Media Manager of training needs and new developments in this area.<br />
To record work undertaken by the reprographics service to ensure accurate<br />
internal invoices are issued.<br />
Undertake training on new/additional equipment as required by the school.<br />
To be aware of and adhere to applicable rules, regulations, legislation and<br />
procedures including the <strong>School</strong>s Equal Opportunities Policy and Code of<br />
Conduct, national legislation (including Health and Safety, COSHH, Data<br />
Protection and User Guidelines for Licensed Photocopying in <strong>School</strong>s).<br />
Advise the Media Manager of any concerns relating to health and safety,<br />
including the work environment and working practices.<br />
The post holder may reasonably be expected to undertake other duties<br />
commensurate with the level of responsibility that may be allocated from time to<br />
time.<br />

Skills and Competency<br />
Excellent planning and organisation skills, e.g. workload planning in co-ordination with the<br />
school calendar, ordering of supplies etc<br />
Experience or aptitude to deal with first call maintenance to maintain the machinery.<br />
Physically able to deal with role requirements which will include on a regular basis,<br />
sustained periods of time standing to manage tasks and the ability to inspect machinery<br />
faults on a trouble shooting basis.<br />
Good interpersonal skills to deal with a mixed range of customers, i.e. staff, students and<br />
external contacts.<br />
Excellent attention to detail.<br />
