Terminal
Services
Terminals are critical links
in the supply chain, connecting
ocean transport
and road, rail and shortsea
activities. Some cargo
also requires additional
preparation or upgrading
before reaching its final
destination, or needs to be
stored upon arrival.
Wallenius Wilhelmsen
Logistics (WWL) can do all
this and more, helping you
streamline cargo distribution,
handling, processing
and storage.
To ensure control over vital processes, WWL operates its own terminals
in strategic locations throughout Europe, the United States and Asia.
These terminals have been designed by our own logistics experts to
provide flexibility in the processing, handling and storage of cargo as
well as convenient links to road, rail and short-sea feeder connections.
Wide range of terminal services
Customers can take advantage of a wide range of terminal services,
which help optimise the movement of cargo through the port to its final
destination. Depending on the terminal, these services can include
customs documentation, pre-delivery inspection, storage, re-forwarding
and inland transport.
Some terminals also have vehicle processing centres that offer additional
services such as upgrades, body and paint repair and accessory
installation.
Keeping track of your cargo
Communication and information systems within the terminals are linked
to WWL’s customised information technology solutions. This means that
we know the exact location of cargo while at our terminals or on board
any of our vessels. This knowledge empowers customers with complete
control of their cargo.
Saving time and money
By simplifying and reducing administration and handling costs, WWL
helps customers save time, energy and money. We also focus on our
customers’ changing needs and continually provide creative new services
to add flexibility, reliability and efficiency to their businesses.
