<strong>SBRT</strong> CT simulation<br />

• For upper thoracic regions, both arms (elbows)<br />

should be over the patient’s head and included<br />

in the CT scan so that clearance of beams can<br />

be visualized during planning.<br />

• Scan 15 cm beyond field borders (sometimes<br />

non-coplanar beams are needed).<br />

• For spine cases, include sacrum for lower spine<br />

or include C1 for upper spine so that vertebrae<br />

can be easily identified.
