Cypress-Fairbanks Hospital’s newly opened Cy-Fair Emergency and Imaging Center offers state-of-the-art<br />
equipment and services to patients, as well as a seven-bed 24-hour emergency room.<br />
Area hospitals expand and add additional services<br />
The three area hospitals—The<br />
Cypress Fairbanks Medical Center<br />
Hospital, Methodist Willowbrook<br />
Hospital and the North Cypress<br />
Medical Center— have completed<br />
or are in the process of completing<br />
projects to expand services, open<br />
new facilities and move existing<br />
centers in coming months.<br />
New clinics<br />
Cy-Fair Hospital opened its<br />
11,100-square-foot Cy-Fair Emergency<br />
and Imaging Center off Hwy.<br />
290 and Mueschke Road in March.<br />
This addition provides 24-hour<br />
emergency care and a range of diagnostic<br />
services, such as X-rays<br />
and ultrasounds, closer to Cypress,<br />
Waller and other Northwest Houston<br />
communities, according to Nadia<br />
Saqr, marketing manager for<br />
Cy-Fair Hospital.<br />

Methodist Willowbrook Hospital<br />
plans to relocate its current<br />
center for orthopedic surgery and<br />
sports medicine from its main<br />
campus to a 23,000-square-foot<br />
space at the Centerfield building,<br />
13802 Centerfield Blvd., this June.<br />

alignment with Methodist Willowbrook,<br />
said the center includes<br />
an orthopedic and sports medicine<br />
clinic, a spine specialist and a<br />
sports rehabilitation center.<br />
The orthopedic and sports medicine<br />
center will take up the entire<br />
third flood of the building, according<br />
to Peterson. Also, orthopedic–specific<br />
surgery rooms will<br />
be located on the first floor of the<br />
Centerfield Building.<br />
This fall, the North Cypress<br />
Medical Center will open North<br />
Cypress Emergency Room–Fry<br />
Road, a satellite ER location at Fry<br />
Road and Hwy. 290. The building<br />
will also include a laboratory and<br />
imaging center.<br />
Expanded services<br />
North Cypress Medical Center<br />
has also made improvements to its<br />
main facility on Hwy. 290 over the<br />
past year.<br />
Stacy Thornton, director of marketing<br />
and professional relations,<br />
said the medical center recently<br />
expanded its Epilepsy Monitoring<br />
Unit of the Epilepsy Center to include<br />
four beds.<br />
This new service allows the center<br />
to better monitor and treat its seizure-prone<br />
patients, said Thornton.<br />
