About the Author<br />

Y. Robert Li, MD, MPH, PhD, is a Professor and Chair of Department of Pharmacology of EVCOM at<br />

Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center, USA. He is an Adjunct Professor of Department of Biomedical<br />

<strong>Science</strong>s and Pathobiology at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, and an Affiliate Professor<br />

at Virginia Tech-Wake Forest University School of Biomedical Engineering and <strong>Science</strong>s. He currently<br />

serves as Co-Editor-in-Chief for Toxicology Letters and on the editiorial boards of Cardiovascular<br />

Toxicology, Experimental Biology and Medicine, Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry, Neurochemical<br />

Research, and Spinal Cord. Dr. Li is an active researcher in the areas of free radicals, antioxidants, and<br />

drug discovery, and the author of over 100 peer-reviewed publications and the monograph, Antioxidants in<br />

Biology and Medicine. The research in his laboratories has been funded by the United States National<br />

Cancer Institute (NCI), National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI), National Institute of Diabetes<br />

and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK), American Institute for Cancer Research (AICR), and Harvey<br />

W. Peters Research Center Foundation.
