Sage brush filled a valley between two towering
crests ,
The Indians named it Sanpitch
when white men traveled west.
Shaped like a giant arena, stretching sixty miles
or more ,
children laugh and play
And a college where the young folks
Did they see a towering temple reaching upward to the
sky?
Where aircraft and satellite,
now go drifting by?
sod,
They came with skill and self-reliance
and a mighty faith in God.
They did not come for fortunes, wealth or shining
