pupil council
Each class from primary one to seven
chooses a boy and a girl to represent
them on the school council.
The council meets with the head
teacher once a month to discuss
issues of importance to the pupils.
Last session the councilors wrote a leaflet
about road safety and presented it to the
Parent Council. It encouraged parents to
drive and park safely around the school
and encouraged pupils to walk to school
where possible. The Pupil Council play
an active role in improving the school
and organising events. They successfully
organised a range of pupil led ‘Golden
Time’ clubs, which were attended by
younger pupils. Two members meet
with Mr John Wilson, East Renfrewshire
Council’s director of education each
term.
