complaints, suggestions and compliments How to complain The quickest and easiest way to complain is to contact the school directly and speak to the Head Teacher or Depute Head Teacher. You can make a formal complaint: In person: Make an appointment and call into the school in person. By Phone: You can phone and speak to a member of the management teacm detailing aspects of the service you are unhappy about. In Writing: You can write to the Head Teacher detailing the nature of your dissatisfaction. Crookfur Primary School Capelrig Road Newton Mearns G77 6LF When making a complaint you should let us know:Your name, address, phone number, what you are complaining about and what we can do to put things right. The Head Teacher or Depute Head Teacher will investigate your complaint and usually respond within a few days. If you are unsatisfied with the response we have made to your complaint you can ask the Head Teacher to review the issue. If you are still unsatisfied with our response it can be passed to the Director of Education. You should write to the Director of Education with details about what you are unhappy about and what would put things right. promoting positive behaviour In Crookfur we work to create a positive and supportive ethos. There is a whole school approach in which children and adults work together to create an environment where bullying is not tolerated. Our policy is based on mutual respect between pupil and teacher. We aim to encourage children to have self-discipline and promote and develop pupils’ self esteem. Our main aim is to embrace the values and principles of a Curriculum for Excellence to provide an education of high quality that will enable all young people to be: successful learners confident individuals responsible citizens effective contributors This will equip our learners with skills and attitudes for lifelong learning and will prepare them for life beyond the school. Each year pupils, staff and parents work together to evaluate the work of the school and identify action points and impact for the coming session. Staff, pupils and parents are involved in helping us take forward our School Improvement Plan. Some of the targets will be developed within Crookfur and others will involve our associated Pre 5, Primaries and Secondary School.
