PETE ORLANDO
Sr.; Pelham
A fourth-year Bomber oarsman, Orlando has spent the last
two spring seasons in the varsity 8. He is accomplished on
both port and starboard as well as sculling. Last summer he
competed in five events at the prestigious Canadian Henley,
rowing for the New York Athletic Club in New York City.
Orlando also competed in the last three CRASH-B World
Indoor Rowing Championships in Boston. He is the son
of Debra and Adolph Orlando and majors in television-radio.
TOM POOLE
Sr.; Utica
Since walking on as a novice, Poole’s Ithaca rowing career
mirrors that of Orlando, his fourth-year teammate. Poole
has sat in the stroke seat of the varsity 8 since 2007. In 2008
he stroked medal winning crews at the Frostbite Regatta in
Philadelphia, the Head of the Genesee, and the Collegiate
NYS Championships. He is a physical therapy major and
the son of Tom and Karen Poole of Utica.
ALDEN HALL
Sr.; Macon, Ga.
A fourth-year walk-on rower, Alden stroked last spring’s
second varsity 8 that participated in the NCAA championships.
Last fall she rowed in the first varsity 8 that finished
sixth at the Head of the Charles in Boston. She was honored
as a National Scholar Athlete by the Collegiate Rowing
Coaches Association (CRCA)IN 2008. She majors in art
history and is the daughter of Lee and Kathy Hall.
KATIE O’DRISCOLL
Sr.; Farmingdale, Maine
As a sophomore, Katie sat in the stroke seat of the varsity 8
at the 2007 NCAAs. Last spring she occupied the six-seat
and has been in the first-string lineup since her sophomore
year. After walking on as a freshman she was in the novice
8 that won the 2006 state title. O’Driscoll was also a 2007
and 2008 CRCA National Scholar Athlete. She is a journalism
major and the daughter of Dennis O’Driscoll.
