Dudley who was elected this
past June as the Santa Barbara
County District Attorney.
Ms. Dudley was sworn
in early to complete former
District Attorney Christie
Stanley’s term which was set
to expire in January. Prior to
becoming District Attorney,
Ms. Dudley had served as a
deputy district attorney since
1990.
J. Lee Johnson has joined
Ambrecht & Associates as
an associate. Mr. Johnson’s
focus is complex estates
and trusts, tax minimization
techniques, and IRS
tax controversy matters.
Before joining Ambrecht
& Associates, Mr. Johnson
worked for eleven years
in the Midwest, eight as a
partner with a Kentucky
firm. Mr. Johnson earned
an LLM in Estate Planning
at the University of Miami School of Law, graduated from
the University of Missouri School of Law, and graduated
from Principia College summa cum laude.

Reed Olmstead has joined
local bankruptcy firm Hurlbett
& Faucher as an associate.
While in law school
Mr. Olmstead interned under
Judge Robin Riblet at
the U.S. Bankruptcy Court
in Santa Barbara. He graduated
from the Santa Barbara
College of Law with
Honors and obtained his
Bachelor of Arts Degree
from UCSB.

Michael Brelje has recently
joined grokenberger
& Smith as an
associate. Mr. Brelje’s
practice will focus on
general and complex civil
litigation. Mr. Brelje graduated
from the Santa Barbara
College of Law and
the University of California
at Santa Barbara
(UCSB) with Honors.
Santa Barbara Women Lawyers (SBWL) seeks
nominations for the 2010 Deborah Talmage Attorney
of the Year Award. The nomination form can be
obtained from Alison Holman at aholman@hdlaw.
com and must be returned by October 30, 2010. This
award will be presented at the SBWL Annual Dinner
set for December 13, 2010.
