Conclusion<br />
The tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g was attended by tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g teams from all six states. Dr M Bhattacharya<br />
welcomed the participants on behalf <strong>of</strong> Dr Deoki Nandan, Director, NIHFW. Dr Ajay<br />
Khera, DC (Child Health & Immunization) shared his views regard<strong>in</strong>g the Measles<br />
campaigns held last year. Dr Hamid Jafari, Project Manager, WHO-NPSU stressed upon<br />
the areas <strong>of</strong> special concern. Dr Satish Gupta, Health Specialist (UNICEF) said a few<br />
words on behalf <strong>of</strong> Dr Henri van den Hombergh, Chief <strong>of</strong> Health, UNICEF – India. This<br />
was followed by the sessions as per agenda. Dr Deoki Nandan met with the participants<br />
later before the tea session and shared views with them. Dr Haldar took sessions on the<br />
strategic and operational aspects <strong>of</strong> the campaign and the lessons learnt from the last<br />
campaign phase. At the end <strong>of</strong> the TOT, all presentations and tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g material were<br />
given <strong>in</strong> CDs to each state. The states were asked to prepare and share the plans for the<br />
state level or regional level tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>gs.<br />
Participants expressed confidence <strong>of</strong> be<strong>in</strong>g able to further tra<strong>in</strong> the district tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g<br />
teams and monitor the direct tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g <strong>of</strong> the vacc<strong>in</strong>ators and medical doctors <strong>in</strong> the<br />
