The black and white film series ‘Health
Guide’ was produced from 1974 to 1984 and
was designed for evening broadcast television
in the East-German GDR. The educative
health films of the 1970s combined medical
scientific education with practical hints and
instructions concerning appropriate personal
behaviour. Both films give information on
healthy nutrition.
these commercials was the Hygiene-
Museum. The commercials focused on risk
factors such as calorie-rich food or too little
exercise.
