New Preschoolers' event!<br />

Join us for "Wiggle & Giggle: Time for Babies", a special time for parents/caregivers to spend with babies<br />

(0-18 months) sharing songs and rhymes!<br />

This program will support early <strong>la</strong>nguage p<strong>la</strong>y, healthy touch and bonding for parents and their babies. Featuring songs,<br />

fingerp<strong>la</strong>ys & lul<strong>la</strong>bies, practical tools to soothe and stimu<strong>la</strong>te your baby, this free program is being <strong>of</strong>fered at the Essa<br />

Public Library Angus Branch on Mondays, 1-2 p.m. No registration is required, just drop-in! Winter session begins on<br />

Bring the family...wear your Christmas 'jammies and have a free fun-filled movie night at the Essa Public Library, Angus<br />

Branch & Thornton Branch!<br />

Santa Paws 2: the Santa Pups (rated G) will be showing on Monday, December 3 at 6 p.m. in the Angus Branch.<br />

Arthur Christmas (rated G) will be showing on Wednesday, December 12 at 7 p.m. in the Thornton Branch.<br />

Arthur Christmas (rated G) will also be showing on Monday, December 17 at 6 p.m. in the Angus Branch.<br />

Pick up your free tickets at the Branch where the movie is showing! Limited spaces. Bring along your own bottled<br />

drinks, "easy-to-clean" snacks and comfy sit-upons, pillows and b<strong>la</strong>nkets, if desired (chairs are avai<strong>la</strong>ble).<br />

This special event is for parents and children. Parents/guardians (at least 16 years <strong>of</strong> age) must stay with their children<br />

and supervise at all times.<br />

Up & coming films p<strong>la</strong>nned (dates to be announced) are Brave; Big Miracle, Pirates: band <strong>of</strong> misfits; Lorax; and African<br />

Cats.<br />

Want to learn more about how to use Facebook? CAP Youth Intern, Sarah will be presenting a Facebook workshop on<br />

Thursday, November 29, from 6 -7:45 p.m. at the Angus Branch at 8505 County Road 10, Unit 1 in Angus. Registration<br />

is required and this workshop is FREE.<br />

Sarah will also be featuring more workshops on such topics as "p<strong>la</strong>y with electronic devices"; e-book readers and more!<br />

Watch in-library for promotion <strong>of</strong> the Industry Canada Community Access Programs being <strong>of</strong>fered at the Essa Public<br />

Santa C<strong>la</strong>us Parade<br />

November 17, 2012<br />

Wow! What a great Santa C<strong>la</strong>us Parade, complete with<br />

terrific weather. The Parade gets bigger and better every<br />

year. The enthusiasm from everyone is great, <strong>of</strong> course<br />

everyone waits for the final entry - the ‘big guy’ himself,<br />

Santa C<strong>la</strong>us. Thank you to the Essa Fire Station #2 and the<br />

Nottawasaga OPP for their continued support each year.<br />

A big thank to the Angus Lioness’ for preparing and<br />

serving the food and drinks, their help was certainly appreciated<br />

setting up and tearing down, as well as the Girl<br />

Guides and their leaders.<br />

Barrie Minor Hockey Association (BMHA) p<strong>la</strong>yers<br />

gather in front <strong>of</strong> the boxes they rallied together to fill<br />

in time for Christmas.<br />

The BMHA will bring Christmas cheer to those actively<br />

serving abroad in the Canadian Military. Involved<br />

BMHA p<strong>la</strong>yers personally prepared ‘care packages’.<br />

P<strong>la</strong>yers also <strong>of</strong>fered Holiday wishes to the troops<br />

deployed in other countries for Christmas 2012.<br />

selling reindeer and Santa hats. This money assists with the<br />
