Not recorded in the 1874 Lutzin census, so probably moved to Korsovka before then. Literate in Russian; learned at home. At<br />

the time of the 1897 census lived in the same house as his son Naftali in Korsovka. This is supported by the fact that Moshe's<br />

daughter Rakhel Leah was born in Korsovka in 1873. 1889 List Of Jews Living In Rural Areas of Lutzin Province: lived in<br />

Korsovka, aged 60 - settled there in 1876- merchant. His son Shmuel Sholom's tombstone in Korsovka records his full name as<br />

"Moshe Simkha".<br />

He married Khava Rase ?, born 1832 in Dvinsk, Latvia, 63 (daughter of Avraham ?).<br />

Khava: Illiterate in Russian.<br />

Identified by patronymic of son Benyamin Yitskhak in the 1897 census which lists Benyamin in the house of his uncle<br />

Naftali in Korsovka. Appears in 1889 List Of Jews Living In Rural Areas of Lutzin Province: settled in Korsovka 1877. His<br />

tombstone in Korsovka gives his full name as "Shmuel Sholom ben Moshe Simkha".<br />

He married Sarah ?, born 1850, 65 (daughter of Unknown ? and Astra ?).<br />

(1) Benyamin Yitskhak <strong>Super</strong>, born 1873 in Lutzin (now Ludza), Latvia, 66 occupation shopman, leather trade., 67 resided<br />

in Korsovka (now Karsava), Latvia, immigrated at South Africa.<br />

Literate in Russian; learned at home.<br />

Referred to in a letter by Rabbi Yitskhak Yaakov <strong>Super</strong> of Melbourne to his son Rabbi Arthur Saul <strong>Super</strong>, living in<br />

South Africa, who met Benyamin. Yitskhak Yaakov writes: "If his Hebrew name is Benyamin ben Shmuel Sholom,<br />

then we are second cousins". This helped determine the descent of Rabbi Yitskhak Yaakov <strong>Super</strong> from Yitskhak ben<br />

Sholom <strong>Super</strong>.<br />
