On 12.10.<strong>2010</strong> the petitioner Thiru V. Gopalakrishnan made a request to
the Registrar to post the cases to some other Commissioners. The Commission
rejected the petitioner's plea. The petitioner Thiru V. Gopalakrishnan stayed
away from the enquiry. The Public Authority was represented by the Public
Information Officer Thiru A.T. Durai Kumar, I.P.S., Superintendent <strong>of</strong> Police (
Central Range), Vigilance and Anti-Corruption, Chennai.

The petitioner sent a petition dated 06.02.<strong>2010</strong> addressed to the Public
Information Officer requesting the concerned Public Information Officer to furnish
the requested information on 3 items regarding the action taken on the letter <strong>of</strong>
Thiru C. Selvarj, Fact India, Chenna-33 dated 07.09.2009. The Public
Information Officer on 05.03.<strong>2010</strong> informed the petitioner that the Directorate <strong>of</strong>
Vigilance and Anti-Corruption is exempted from furnishing the information under
the RTI Act. Hence the petition dated 07.09.2009 was forwarded to the Director
General <strong>of</strong> Police, Tamil Nadu, Chennai-4 on 05.03.<strong>2010</strong> for taking necessary
action. Since the information has been furnished to the petitioner on 05.03.<strong>2010</strong>,
the case is treated as closed.
