In accordance with the provision of Article 2<br />

paragraph 1 of the Temporary Law of Interest Rate<br />

Adjustment (Law No. 181 of 1947), Notification<br />

concerning the maximum rates of interests of<br />

financial institutions (Ministry of Finance Notification<br />

No. 4 of January, 1948) shall be partially<br />

amended as follows and shall come into force On<br />

and after July 1, 1950. Provided that as for such<br />

deposits at notice and designated money in trust of<br />

which period is less than three (3) months as<br />

veceived by June 30, 1950, the provisions of the<br />

said Notification shall apply on and after August 1,<br />

Item (4) shall be made as item (5), each itemto<br />

follow shall be moved down by one item and next<br />

to item (3), the following one item shall be added:<br />

4. Maximum limit of the rate of deposits of the<br />

financial institutions to each other and expected<br />

rate of dividends of the designated money in<br />

trust.<br />

(1) Deposit Rate<br />

Current Deposit Non-interest<br />

Ordinary Deposit 0.6 sen per diem<br />

Deposit at Notice 0.8 sen per diem<br />

Time Deposit (over the<br />

period of 3 months) 1.5 sen per diem<br />

Separate Deposit and other<br />

miscellaneous Deposit 0.6 sen per diem<br />

Provided that as for the rate of deposits of<br />

the camp of respective financial institution<br />

of Central Co-operative Bank for Agriculture<br />

and Forestry, Central Cooperative Bank for<br />

Commercial and Industry and National<br />

Federation of Credit Co-operative Association,<br />

the above rate of interests shall not, for the<br />

time being, be applied.<br />

(2) Expected rate of dividends of designated<br />

money in trust the rate of deposits shall, to<br />

the designated money in trust for over 3<br />

months of period, be higher 0.2 sen per diem<br />

than to the time deposit stated above, and<br />

the rate of deposits at notice as mentioned<br />

above shall mutatis mutandis be applied to<br />

those less than 3 months of period-<br />

1. Period for use of date-stamp<br />

From July 1 to 10, 1950<br />

1. Way of using date-stamp<br />

The special date-stamp shall be used at the<br />

time of acceptance for prepaid letters and postal<br />

cards. However, it shall be used in case extending<br />

to the window at request. Furthermore, the<br />

usage of the stamp shall be granted against postal<br />

cards of goverment issue (as regards cards of<br />

former postage rate, they are to be affixed with;<br />

postage stamp equivalent to the difference between^<br />

new and old postage rates) of postage stamp of<br />

denomination more than two yen affixed to mail<br />

matters for the purpose of commemoration.<br />

1. Form of date-stamp<br />

Form of the date-stamp shall be as follows:<br />

Names of date-stamp shall be used separately..<br />

However, in case there are two or more post<br />

offices using the date-stamp in the same administrative<br />

city, the 9tamp shall bear the name of<br />

the city instead of the each post office. *
