In accordance with the provision of Article 2
paragraph 1 of the Temporary Law of Interest Rate
Adjustment (Law No. 181 of 1947), Notification
concerning the maximum rates of interests of
financial institutions (Ministry of Finance Notification
No. 4 of January, 1948) shall be partially
amended as follows and shall come into force On
and after July 1, 1950. Provided that as for such
deposits at notice and designated money in trust of
which period is less than three (3) months as
veceived by June 30, 1950, the provisions of the
said Notification shall apply on and after August 1,
1950:

Item (4) shall be made as item (5), each itemto
follow shall be moved down by one item and next
to item (3), the following one item shall be added:
4. Maximum limit of the rate of deposits of the
financial institutions to each other and expected
rate of dividends of the designated money in
trust.
(1) Deposit Rate

Ordinary Deposit 0.6 sen per diem
Deposit at Notice 0.8 sen per diem
Time Deposit (over the
period of 3 months) 1.5 sen per diem
Separate Deposit and other
miscellaneous Deposit 0.6 sen per diem
Provided that as for the rate of deposits of
the camp of respective financial institution
of Central Co-operative Bank for Agriculture
and Forestry, Central Cooperative Bank for
Commercial and Industry and National
Federation of Credit Co-operative Association,
the above rate of interests shall not, for the
time being, be applied.
(2) Expected rate of dividends of designated
money in trust the rate of deposits shall, to
the designated money in trust for over 3
months of period, be higher 0.2 sen per diem
than to the time deposit stated above, and
the rate of deposits at notice as mentioned
above shall mutatis mutandis be applied to
those less than 3 months of period-

1. Period for use of date-stamp
From July 1 to 10, 1950
1. Way of using date-stamp
The special date-stamp shall be used at the
time of acceptance for prepaid letters and postal
cards. However, it shall be used in case extending
to the window at request. Furthermore, the
usage of the stamp shall be granted against postal
cards of goverment issue (as regards cards of
former postage rate, they are to be affixed with;
postage stamp equivalent to the difference between^
new and old postage rates) of postage stamp of
denomination more than two yen affixed to mail
matters for the purpose of commemoration.
1. Form of date-stamp
Form of the date-stamp shall be as follows:
Names of date-stamp shall be used separately..
However, in case there are two or more post
offices using the date-stamp in the same administrative
city, the 9tamp shall bear the name of
the city instead of the each post office. *
