Band Championship<br />

<strong>Limerick</strong> has for the last 42 years organised the<br />

internationally acclaimed <strong>Limerick</strong> International Band<br />

Championship, which is part of <strong>Limerick</strong>s St. Patrick’s Festival<br />

(Ireland’s largest St. Patrick’s Festival outside of Dublin).<br />

Each year marching bands from the four corners of Ireland,<br />

the USA and Europe join <strong>Limerick</strong>’s finest to showcase their<br />

musical prowess with adrenalin pumping music for the<br />

The Paddy Dakar<br />

The Paddy Dakar, now in its fourth year is an Orienteering<br />

on Motorbikes charity event that takes place in and around<br />

Slieve Felim and the Silvermines Mountains, which straddle<br />

Dakar Riders past and present who by their participation<br />
