Band Championship

Limerick has for the last 42 years organised the
internationally acclaimed Limerick International Band
Championship, which is part of Limericks St. Patrick’s Festival
(Ireland’s largest St. Patrick’s Festival outside of Dublin).
Each year marching bands from the four corners of Ireland,
the USA and Europe join Limerick’s finest to showcase their
musical prowess with adrenalin pumping music for the
thousands of spectators to enjoy!

The Paddy Dakar
September 20th-22nd
The Paddy Dakar, now in its fourth year is an Orienteering
on Motorbikes charity event that takes place in and around
Slieve Felim and the Silvermines Mountains, which straddle
county’s Limerick and Tipperary. It is held as a tribute to Irish
Dakar Riders past and present who by their participation
have demonstrated themselves to be the pinnacle of off-road
endurance riding.

Flycasting Festival
